1. What’s your worst habit relating to your knitting?
Getting bored and not finishing a project
2. In what specific ways does your knitting make you a better person?
It teaches me patience, gives me focus,and the act of knitting something for someone else is so satisfying. As I knit I often think of the person I am knitting for, and it makes me so happy that I have a way to let people know how much I care about them.
3. How might you or your life be different if you were suddenly unable to knit?
I would miss it terribly, and although I would be able to find other things to do, there's nothing as portable as knitting
4. If money were no object, what one yarn, and what one tool or gadget would you run out and buy first?
A top-of-the-line swift and winder
5. What knitting technique or project type are you most afraid of (if any)? What, specifically, do you fear will happen when you try it?
Lace. I've tried it and my fears were realized... dropped stitches,uneven gauge, terrible
6. Who is/are your knitting hero(es), and why?
My Grandmother; she was a wonderful knitter and taught me to knit in the kindest way.
7. Do you consider knitting, for you personally, a mostly social activity, or a mostly solitary activity?
Both! I love to knit with others, but I love to zone out by myself and listen to music or watch TV as I knit
8. Is there a particular regional tradition in knitting that you feel strongly drawn toward (e.g., Fair Isle, Scandinavian, Celtic, Orenburg lace)? Any theories as to why it calls to you?
Fair Isle...it's the preppy in me.
9. If you were a yarn, which yarn would you be?
Noro Silk Garden. It's soft, full of color with unexpected bits and a fuzziness that reminds me of my hair

Once a week...usually on the subway .
12. If a genie granted you one hour to stitch-n-bitch with any one knitter, living or dead, who would you choose and why?
Definitely my Grandmother. I would love to see her again, and thank her for showing me how to knit
13. What aspect or task in knitting makes you most impatient?
Casting on
14. What is it about knitting that never lets you get bored with it?
The wool! and the endless choices of patterns and projects.
15. Describe how and where you most often do your knitting - where do you sit, what is going on around you, what tools do you use and how are they (dis)organized? I usually knit on my couch, on the left side, and there's music on or the TV. The dog is bunched up on the other side of the couch and my husband is nearby. I keep a basket in the living room with my current projects and necessary tools. Most of stash and supplies are in my bedroom, usually organized, unless I have gone on a tear liking for something or other and ripped it all apart.
16. Which one person is the recipient of more of your knitting than any other?
No one person, but lots of babies
17. What’s the oddest thing about your knitting, or yourself as a knitter?I knit in continental style and American.
18. What do you see yourself knitting - if anything - twenty years from now? Baby gifts for my grand nieces and nephews
19. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could have only ONE SKEIN of yarn, which yarn would it be and what would you do with it?
I would bring a Noro Silk gardens just knit it over and over again....knit it, rip it, knit it, rip it

21. Is knitting the new yoga? Why or why not? Yoga is the new knitting
